Used to provide sealing with a chemical barrier against corrosive gases and high temperatures.
Temperature resistance is determined by the chemical and physical properties of the layers used (PTFE, silicone, glass fiber, insulation pillow). Solutions suitable for values between -40°C and +1200°C are produced by selecting special composite materials according to the application temperature.
Flow direction is critical for the correct positioning of the expansion joint's inner liner, especially in gases containing dust or abrasive particles. Incorrect installation can lead to dust accumulation and premature wear or clogging of the expansion joint.
The main factors affecting service life are operating temperature, chemical exposure, vibration amplitude, pressure fluctuations, and dust/particle density. Regular maintenance and correct material selection directly increase the service life of the expansion joint.
The use of a liner is mandatory in high-velocity gas flows, environments containing abrasive particles, or lines with high turbulence. The liner protects the fabric layers from direct contact, ensuring the integrity of the system.
