Heat Resistant DN550 Lens Metal Expansion Joint for Cement Industry
Heat Resistant DN550 Lens Metal Expansion Joint for Cement Industry
CUSTOMER REQUIREMENT
In cement plants, the transition zones between rotary kiln cyclones have challenging operating conditions due to both high temperature and movement effects. A durable lens metal expansion joint in DN550 dimensions was needed for use in this section. According to customer requirements, this expansion joint was designed to both absorb thermal expansion and guarantee mechanical stability.
SOLUTION – DN550 Lens Metal Expansion Joint Design and High Heat Resistant Black Coating
This expansion joint was specially designed for the transition zone between rotary kiln cyclones. The bellows manufactured from 3 mm thick AISI 309 stainless steel provide both flexibility and durability, successfully absorbing thermal and mechanical movements in the area. The outer surface of the expansion joint is protected with an advanced heat-resistant black coating. This special paint is formulated with silicone resin (polysiloxane) and modified epoxy additives to provide resistance against high temperatures. Additionally, protective pigments in the paint content offer extra resistance against oxidation, providing long-term surface durability.
This black coating provides not only visual aesthetics but also technical superiority that helps the expansion joint maintain its functionality under harsh environmental conditions. This special paint, which does not lose its elasticity even under high temperatures, extends the life of the expansion joint and increases operational efficiency.
This DN550 lens metal expansion joint fully met customer expectations by providing optimum movement absorption and long-lasting performance between rotary kiln cyclones.
