CUSTOMER REQUIREMENT
The challenging operating conditions in thermal power plants require durable expansion joints that can absorb high temperatures and mechanical movements. In this context, lens metal expansion joints with DN1400 dimensions and 8 convolution design were developed according to customer special demands. These expansion joints were designed to ensure trouble-free operation in the Grate Air Inlet pipe.
SOLUTION – 8 Convolution Expansion Joint Design Resistant to High Temperatures
3 mm thick AISI 309 (1.4828) grade stainless steel material was used in the production of these expansion joints. This special material is known for its resistance to high temperatures and offers a suitable solution for challenging conditions in thermal power plants. The 8 convolution design optimizes stress distribution of expansion joints, providing long-lasting use.
The structure of lens bellows prevents deformation even under high temperatures and guarantees reliable absorption of movements. This design effectively manages both thermal expansion and mechanical vibrations, increasing system stability.
These DN1400 8 convolution expansion joints showed high performance in Grate Air Inlet pipes in thermal power plants, fully meeting customer expectations and increasing system reliability.
